What InfraMap Pro covers

InfraMap Pro maps the operating US power fleet and the markets around it. Three views share one set of data:

  • Map. Operating power plants from the EIA inventory, grouped into projects, with layer folders for Infrastructure, Prices, Natural resources and Water. Selecting a plant opens its panel: Output (reported generation beside physical potential, expected generation and modeled curtailment), Environmental (emissions and cooling water), Prices (node prices and basis to a hub, with a free account; node names on Pro) and Details (the plant record, plus ownership and offtake on Pro).
  • Agent. An AI analyst that answers questions with the same data and cites its sources. It runs calculations through fixed tools rather than writing numbers from memory. It can still be wrong, and its answers are not investment, legal or engineering advice.
  • MCP server. The agent’s data tools, open to any MCP client at mcp.inframap.pro. Read-only, for Pro and Enterprise accounts.

Accounts and plans

The map and its public datasets are open to everyone. A free account adds node prices, hub prices and basis, and the analyst, with 1 question a day. Pro adds the name of the pricing node behind each price, the modeled data (physical potential, expected generation and modeled curtailment), ownership and offtake (owners, parent companies, PPAs and contract buyers), MCP access and 300 analyst questions a month with no daily limit. Pro users can buy more: 50 questions for $20 or 150 for $50. Enterprise adds team seats and limits set by contract. See plans.

How to read the numbers

These rules apply everywhere in the product.

  • Observed, calculated and modeled stay separate. Reported generation is an observation. A capacity factor is a calculation from reported values. Physical potential, expected generation and curtailment are models, and the product labels them as such.
  • Missing is not zero. A null value means the source has no usable record. Zero and negative values are shown as reported.
  • Every dataset keeps its own period. Sources update on different schedules, so the latest month differs by dataset. Each panel and tool result states its period.
  • Associations are not contracts. A price node, comparison hub or balancing area linked to a plant does not prove settlement, a contract or a physical connection.
  • Units follow the source. Energy in MWh, capacity in MW (AC nameplate), prices in US dollars per MWh, emissions in US short tons, water in million US gallons.

Corrections and questions

InfraMap Pro is a research tool. Source data and models can contain errors, so check the primary source before relying on a number. If a plant, node or number looks wrong, write to contact@inframap.org with the plant (its EIA plant ID helps), what you saw and what you expected.
