About the data
A statistical fit of each node’s congestion price against constraint shadow prices, per node and constraint, from a 90-day and a one-year fit. It attributes a node’s congestion to the constraints that drove it, month by month, and is used to explain basis.
It is an InfraMap estimate. It is not a network model and not the ISO’s published shift factors.
This is a model output, not observed data. InfraMap labels it as a model everywhere it appears.

Access
Part of InfraMap Pro. See pricing.
Where it appears: Plant panel, agent, MCP.
MCP tools that return it: explain_node_congestion, rank_pricing_nodes. The MCP server is part of Pro; setup is on MCP server.
Sources
- Node prices and binding constraints, CAISO, ERCOT, ISO-NE, MISO, NYISO, PJM and SPP
Periods and update notes for each source are on Data sources.
Known gaps
- An estimate, not a network model and not the ISO’s published shift factors.
- ERCOT publishes no congestion component, so its fit uses a proxy.
Missing values stay missing: a null means the source has no usable record, never zero. Zero and negative values are shown as reported.
Questions it answers
- Which constraints drove congestion at a given PJM node in each month of 2026?
- Which SPP nodes had the most estimated congestion over the last year?
Terms: Locational marginal price (LMP), Basis.
